Lo-Vel™ Flatting Agents – Non-Treated PPG Silica Products offers a product line of synthetic amorphous precipitated silicas that reduce the gloss of coatings, varnishes, lacquers and other finishes. They cover a wide range of median particle size, Hegman value and surface area performance properties in order to provide you with maximum formulation flexibility. Benefits • High flatting efficiency at Hegman values of 3.5 to 6.5 • Compatible with a broad range of coatings systems • Stir-in capable grades available • Ease of redispersion • Deliver a balance of clarity and flatting for overprint varnish and topcoats • Can be used in solvent or water-based coatings, as well as high solids, 100% solids and 2K systems
